Day 01:

Arrival Maumere

Upon arrival at Maumere on the island of Flores you will be welcomed by our local. Transfer in to Sea World Club or Capa Resort for overnight.

Pick up by Driver & Car From Our Guide for Overland will meet you in the afternoon at the hotel.

 

 

Day 02:

Maumere – Moni (B)

After Breakfast visit Wuring a Fishing Village at Maumere. Onwards to Sikka is known for is old church from 1899 and Ikat which is enthusiastically sold by the local people. At Paga Beach a moment to relax and if you like you can swim here. In Moni you’ll stay overnight at Kelimutu EcoLodge. Rooms are non AC in this cool hill climate. At night you could make a stroll through the small village of Moni.

 

Day 03:

Moni – Bajawa (B)

Early morning wake up call for departure to the Kelimutu volcano. A short walk (30 minutes) will take you to the look out point to wait for the sunrise. Kelimutu means Mountain of the Spirits. Known for its famous 3 colour lakes: Turquoise, Brown and Black. It’s the dissolved minerals that give the different colours. Breakfast after return to the hotel. Continue through beautiful landscape via Ende to Bajawa with stops at Soekarno’s House in Ende, at the green stone beach Pengga Jawa, beautiful views of the Ebulobo volcano and before Bajawa a stop at traditional village Wogo.

Overnight at Manulalu GH or Sanian Hotel or Happy-Happy GH in Bajawa

 

Day 04:

Bajawa – Ruteng (B)

Morning to Labuan Bajo. En route visit spiderweb ricefields at Cacar. Afternoon at leisure. O/n Puri Sari

Overnight Spring Hill Bungalow or Sindha Hotel in Ruteng.

 

Day 05:

Ruteng - Labuan Bajo – Rinca - Kalong (B-L-D)

Our purpose today is to see the Komodo Dragon. This largest living lizard on earth lives on 3 islands Rinca, Padar & Komodo and some parts of West Flores. Its length can go up to 3 meters with weight of up to 90 kilo. Morning to Labuan Bajo. En route visit spiderweb ricefields at Cacar .On Arrival at Labuan Bajo, here boarding to cross to Rinca Island. Lunch on board. After 1 ½ hour sailing we reach Loh Buaya. Led by a local ranger 2 hour soft trekking through forest and savanna. Komodo Dragons are often spotted on the way. From the highest point on this hike a beautiful panorama of the surrounding island

Overnight nearby Kalong Island. on Board.

 

Day 06:

Kalong - Komodo Island & Pink Beach - Labuan Bajo (B-L)

Breakfast at hotel. At Leisure until transfer you to the Airport for next destination

 

Day 07:

Labuan Bajo - Denpasar (B)

Breakfast at hotel. At Leisure until transfer you to the Airport for next destination

Kelimutu Flores, the Magnificent Three Coloured Lake

Mt Kelimutu National Park is offers one of the most spectacular wonders that nature has to offer. There are three lakes on the mountain sharing the same name, Kelimutu, meaning ‘the boiling lake’. Each has its own colors and a local name. But all are believed to be the resting place of departed souls.

Kelimutu lakes are unpredictable as to when and what color they will change into. Sometimes, the colors are blue, green, and black, and some other times they turn to white, red, and blue. The last time a traveler saw them, one was dark brown, just like a pond of chocolate. Previously, the east lake was red and the middle lake was blue.
