Day 01:

Ende Airport OR Maumere Airport – Moni (B)

Arrive at Maumere or Ende Airport. welcome by our Guide then transfer directly to Moni. On the way will stop at The Traditional village of Saga ( if arrive in Ende ). In Moni you’ll stay overnight at Kelimutu EcoLodge. Rooms are non AC in this cool hill climate. At night you could make a stroll through the small village of Moni.

 

 

Day 02:

Moni – Bajawa (B)

Early morning wake up call for departure to the Kelimutu volcano. A short walk (30 minutes) will take you to the look out point to wait for the sunrise. Kelimutu means Mountain of the Spirits. Known for its famous 3 colour lakes: Turquoise, Brown and Black. It’s the dissolved minerals that give the different colours. Breakfast after return to the hotel. Continue through beautiful landscape via Ende to Bajawa with stops at Soekarno’s House in Ende, at the green stone beach Pengga Jawa, beautiful views of the Ebulobo volcano and before Bajawa a stop at traditional village Wogo.

Overnight at Manulalu GH or Sanian Hotel or Happy-Happy GH in Bajawa

 

Day 03:

Bajawa – Ruteng (B)

In the morning a visit to the traditional village of Bena. Besides still in tact, with the megalith stones besides the old houses, this village has beautiful location with views of Mount Inerie.. In the afternoon depart for Ruteng. On the way visit Lake Rana Mese and Ruteng Puu.

Overnight Spring Hill Bungalow or Sindha Hotel in Ruteng.

 

Day 04:

Ruteng - Labuan Bajo (B)

Morning to Labuan Bajo. En route visit spiderweb ricefields at Cacar. Afternoon at leisure. O/n Puri Sari

 

Day 05:

Rinca, Pink Beach & Komodo Island (B-L)

Our purpose today is to see the Komodo Dragon. This largest living lizard on earth lives on 3 islands Rinca, Padar & Komodo and some parts of West Flores. Its length can go up to 3 meters with weight of up to 90 kilo. Early morning wake up call. Breakfast at hotel transfer to the harbour. At 6.00 am depart for Komodo island This trip over blue tropical waters and past hundreds of small island will take approximately 4 hours. On our visit to Komodo island we make a walk (1 hour) with a local ranger in search of the Komodo dragons. During your visit also wild buffalo, deer, pigs and various species of tropical birds like the Cockatoo can be seen. At Pink Beach lunch and time to discover the splendid underwater world of these rich waters (snorkels and fins are provided). Onwards to Rinca. Led by a local ranger 1 hour soft trekking through forest and savanna. Komodo Dragons are often spotted on the way. From the highest point on this hike a beautiful panorama of the surrounding island. Return to Labuan Bajo will take around 1 1/2 hours. Upon arrival at the harbour transfer to Hotel Puri Sari in Labuan Bajo for overnight

 

Day 06:

Labuan Bajo – Denpasar (B)

Breakfast at hotel. At Leisure until transfer you to the Airport for next destination

Kelimutu Flores, the Magnificent Three Coloured Lake

Mt Kelimutu National Park is offers one of the most spectacular wonders that nature has to offer. There are three lakes on the mountain sharing the same name, Kelimutu, meaning ‘the boiling lake’. Each has its own colors and a local name. But all are believed to be the resting place of departed souls.

Kelimutu lakes are unpredictable as to when and what color they will change into. Sometimes, the colors are blue, green, and black, and some other times they turn to white, red, and blue. The last time a traveler saw them, one was dark brown, just like a pond of chocolate. Previously, the east lake was red and the middle lake was blue.
