Komodo - Rinca Island Indonesia - Abbey Travel

Day 01:

Labuan Bajo – Bidadari - Rinca Island (L)

Our purpose today is to see the Komodo Dragon. This largest living lizard on earth lives on 3 islands Rinca, Padar & Komodo and some parts of West Flores. Its length can go up to 3 meters with weight of up to 90 kilo. Upon arrival at Labuan Bajo Apt, meet and greet by our local guide. Then transfer to Lbj harbor get on board and sailing to Rinca island This trip over blue tropical waters and past hundreds of small island will take approximately 1 1/2 hours. During your visit also wild buffalo, deer, pigs and various species of tropical birds like the Cockatoo can be seen. Lunch on board. From the highest point on this hike a beautiful panorama of the surrounding island. Then Sail back to Lbj with stop at Bidadari Island time to discover the splendid underwater world of these rich waters (snorkels and fins are provided). Upon arrival at the harbour transfer to Hotel as choice in Labuan Bajo for overnight.

 

 

Day 02:

Labuan Bajo – Denpasar (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit BATU CERMIN and the LOCAL MARKET and panorama point.
Then continue to the Airport for next destination.

Home of the unique and rare Komodo Dragon

Located in East Nusa Tenggara, Komodo National Park is the home of the unique and rare Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis). Because of the unique and rare nature of this animal, KNP was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986.

This place has a rich and amazing underwater sea biotica. Divers claim that Komodo waters are one of the best diving sites in the world. It has fascinating underwater scenery. You can find 385 species of beautiful corals, mangrove forests, and seaweeds as a home for thousands of fish species, 70 types of sponges, 10 types of dolphins, 6 types of whales, green turtles and various types of sharks and stingrays
